Macbook Air?

Apple at the end of his keynote unveiled the new MacBook Air an ultra-thin computer, which highlights the work of Intel for the processor size reduction (60%), and integration for Apple.

Apple is at his top since several years with the ipod and their machines since they switched from PowerPC chipssets to Intel. After the first impressive presentation, we must admit that a core 2 duo 1.6Ghz laptop with a 13’ screen, 80 Gb hard disk at 1699 euro it is really expensive! Moving up to 2868 euro for the 1.8Ghz and 64 Gb SSD Hard Disk

We need to love the brand to make such a purchase.

A very “à la mode” laptop but in the end very restrained:

* The non-removable battery * The memory fixed on motherboard: 2 GB of RAM * No Firewire port, a single USB 2.0 port is available. * The micro-DVI: full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 × 1200 pixels on an external display. The 30-inch screen is not supported. * A disk at 4200 rpm. 899 euros for a SSD memory. * no stereo sound * No sound input. It will go through a USB device. * No Ethernet port. A USB adapter is required (29 euros). * The remote option. Either 19 euros to be added to the bill.

Time will show if the object is going to meet its audience.
