I was trying to find a new theme for my gallery2 installation, after some google requests, I found the pear theme

to install you can do it by svn:

cd your-gallery/themes
svn co --username pear --password pear http://trac.cz/svn/pear/

and activate the theme in gallery’s plugin panel.

It looks nice with some cool features. if you look for something new you should try.

The new version of the Kubuntu KDE4 Linux distribution is almost ready. The new version of KDE is very attractive, the first installation was not a good experience because KDE suffers from slowliness. It can be corrected by installing the package scim

sudo apt-get install scim

after this correction the attraction of the new environment is much more evident. Progress are there and many new things are available:

• KDE 4
  • Plasma – size and position of the panel is now configurable
  • KHTML – repainting issues addressed and KHTML now supports more websites by accepting more non-HTML4-compliant documents
  • Several stability issues have been fixed
  • Session switching has been included

Acid3 is the third in a series of test pages written to help browser vendors ensure proper support for web standards in their products.

Acid3 is primarily testing specifications for “Web 2.0″ dynamic Web applications. Also there are some visual rendering tests, including webfonts.

Acid 3 is a series of 100 mini-tests.

here I published a plugin for iSync for Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic, but it seems that some users had bad experiences.

Zaa gave a solution to solve it

Download the zip file on your desktop, double-click on it to extract content.

in the finder go to: Macintosh HD > Library > PhonePlugins

drop the file Nokia-5310.phoneplugin on this folder and you’re done!

A Web Server Called Ebb

Ebb aims to be a small and fast web server specifically for hosting web frameworks like Rails, Merb, and in the future Django.

It is announced faster than Mongrel and Thin, the rails application deployment and performance improvement are strongly active.

Installation:

Available as a Ruby Gem. It can be install by executing

gem install ebb

Ebb depends on having glib2 headers and libraries installed.

Use:

cd my_rails_project/; ebb_rails start

WEBrick, a standard library of Ruby to implement HTTP servers, has file access vulnerability.

Impact

The following programs are vulnerable.

• Programs that publish files using WEBrick::HTTPServer.new with the :DocumentRoot option
• Programs that publish files using WEBrick::HTTPServlet::FileHandler

Affected systems are:

• Systems that accept backslash (\) as a path separator, such as Windows.
• Systems that use case insensitive filesystems such as NTFS on Windows, HFS on Mac OS X.
