I was using tools like netbeans, aptana to develop my own blog engine.
After several months I am more confortable to use the KDE lightweight editor Kate to do the same thing.

Few plugins & settings and it does the job:

Downloading some snippets:

and that’s it, you can easily work on your project.
One good thing is also to use the session feature to save the state of your environment when quitting & restarting Kate.
